Access to Experts Centres
Expert Centres operate in partnership with the different health care actors (general practitioners, private or hospital psychiatrists).
Patients are accepted only upon written request from the referring doctor (psychiatrist, general practitioner, specialist ...). The request must be sent by regular mail to their closest Expert Centre in order to make an appointment for the patient.
In referring the patient to an Expert Centre, the psychiatrist or general practitioner benefits from an external and objective observation of the patient, and on the treatment to consider, continue, modify or adjust so that it is perfectly adapted to the antecedents or risks revealed during the comprehensive check-up carried out by the Expert Centre (suicide, cardiovascular disease, diabetes...). A re-evaluation every six months is proposed. The referring doctor may, at any time, ask for another opinion or contact the Expert Centre.
