Marcel Dassault Prize
Innovating in Precision Psychiatry
Created in 2012 by the Fondation FondaMental and Groupe Dassault, the Marcel Dassault Prize annually recognises a researcher and their team. The laureate is selected by an international jury and aims to support innovation in mental disorders, promoting the development of new approaches, tools, and therapies. Innovative solutions in precision psychiatry should particularly address the management of mental disorders and the discovery of new diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers.
The Marcel Dassault Prize laureate receives a €90,000 award and benefits from the support of the multidisciplinary project development teams of the “Lab’FondaMental”, a research project accelerator.

Franco-British Prize for Biomarker Research in Mental Disorders
PRECISION MIND by Wakam & Fondation FondaMental
The Precision Mind Prize supports Franco-British research on biomarkers in psychiatry, with the aim of accelerating the development of precision psychiatry. Created by Wakam and the Fondation FondaMental, this prize encourages innovative collaborative projects between French and British teams, focusing on the discovery, validation, and clinical application of biomarkers, whether blood-based, imaging, or digital.
Lilly Grant
Supporting Early-Career Researchers
With the support of Laboratoire Lilly, the Fondation FondaMental supports early-career researchers in their scientific work. The Lilly Grant enables laboratories to recruit Master’s students to develop innovative projects in psychiatry. It aims to advance knowledge on mental disorders, particularly in the fields of etiology and pathophysiology, epidemiology and health economics, as well as clinical and therapeutic innovation.
FACE Prize
Supporting International Scientific Publication
In partnership with Boehringer Ingelheim, the Fondation FondaMental awards a prize to early-career researchers from hospital departments or research laboratories within the Alliance network. Named FACE (“FondaMental Advanced Center of Expertise”), this prize supports laureates in publishing an international-level scientific article.
Selected candidates gain access to the FACE databases, built from the Expert Centres networks (bipolar disorders, schizophrenia, treatment-resistant depression, and autism spectrum disorders without intellectual disability), to conduct their analyses. Research questions must be validated by the Research Committee, composed of clinicians and scientists, and applicants may benefit from epidemiological and statistical support if needed.
Young Talents in Psychiatry
Training the Next Generation of Psychiatrist-Researchers
Led by the Fondation FondaMental, with the support of the Bettencourt Schueller Foundation, the “Young Talents in Psychiatry” programme enables early-career psychiatrists to fully dedicate themselves to research. It offers up to three years of funding to complete a PhD in science.
