Lab' FondaMental

The Lab’ FondaMental
An Accelerator for Research Projects for Alliance Members
Created in September 2021, the Lab’ FondaMental is the clinical and translational research department of the Fondation FondaMental. Thanks to the support of Groupe Dassault and Wakam, its multidisciplinary team (clinical project managers, communications specialists, clinical research associates, and data experts in management and protection) supports the development of research and innovation projects to improve patient care.
Committed to mental health, the team works alongside partners, start-ups, and researchers to support protocol development and regulatory processes, accelerate projects, assist with public funding applications, and provide access to the FACE databases.
Its Missions
The Lab’ acts as an accelerator for research and innovation projects. It notably contributed to the development of the PEPR PROPSY programme, funded in 2022 and a flagship national initiative for the coming years.
The Lab’ FondaMental plays a central role in fostering partnerships between start-ups, scientists, and psychiatrists within the consortium and will co-found the virtual Living Lab, Mental Hub, which will actively involve patients, caregivers, and stakeholders in clinical research to accelerate precision psychiatry.
The Lab’ team expanded in 2023 and now includes eight project managers and clinical research associates, a Data Protection Officer (DPO), an epidemiologist, and two statisticians based in Créteil.
An International Lab’ FondaMental
By responding to international calls for projects, the Lab’ promotes innovation in psychiatry at European and international levels. As a partner in three European projects, the Lab’ has recruited a dedicated international project manager and supported the organisation of the first international Think Tank in precision psychiatry, held in Switzerland in June 2023.
